Position Overview

We’re looking to hire an energetic, motivated, and team oriented Mobile UX/UI Designer. As a member of our UX Design Team, you will work closely with talented product managers and developers to create the next level of user engagement. The Mobile UX/UI Designer will help construct our strategy for encouraging users to continually take charge of their health through our mobile application. Combining highly intuitive workflows, outstanding visual design and interaction, and user feedback and research, this role will create compelling experiences to keep users coming back for more.

With such an exciting and emerging industry at hand, the Mobile UX/UI Designer must be passionately curious, adept at innovative approaches to design, masterful at understanding what drives user behavior, and energetic enough to execute rapidly ahead of the competition.


  • Produce high quality experiences within mobile applications
  • Create a cohesive mobile UX experience across products and platforms to make improving your health feel intuitive, fun, and effortless
  • Seek out new problems to solve and shape the mobile product roadmap
  • Refine information architecture, interaction design, and visual design with low and high fidelity mockups
  • Apply a deliberate tone and emotion for the user’s experience through refined copy, color scheme, and other visual design best practices
  • Leverage metrics, optimization, qualitative, and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisions
  • Communicate detailed design considerations to the development team and guide them through execution in an agile environment
  • Work closely and collaboratively with product managers, other designers, developers, data scientists, and marketer

Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in a Relevant Field of Study (i.e. Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Graphic Design, New Media, Engineering, Liberal Arts, etc.)
  • 4+ years of design experience producing engaging, usable, and effective design and mobile solutions using user-centric principles
  • Working experience with prototyping tools such as Axure, OmniGraffle, Sketch or Balsamic
  • Strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Abreast of UI design best practices, trends, and techniques
  • Native mobile application design
  • Comfortable with workflow design and information architecture principles
  • Experience with the agile development methodology and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive development schedules
  • Understanding how designs translate into HTML/CSS, Objective C a plus
  • Experience with such design elements as gamification, behavioral economics, and analytical dashboards a big plus
  • Portfolio presentation is expected, including URLs or samples that reflect work - both web and mobile
